Marilyn’s Homemade Turtles

 

1 package of caramels (app 30)

1 T heavy cream

1 ½  C pecans

Prepared chocolate ( you can use Wilton chocolate, dark or milk, your choice)

 

Melt caramels with heavy cream in microwave about 4 minutes on medium heat. stir to mix. Add pecans. Spray your hands with PAM and spoon app 1 tablespoon of the caramel/pecan mixture in your hands to make a small patty. Put on wax or parchment paper. Dip in chocolate and put back on the parchment to harden.

 

After making them the first time, you can add more pecans or add more caramels depending on how much of eacvh you like to taste in every bit.

 

I started making these lovelies in 1982 and they are always a favorite and one of the most requested items from family and friends.

 

They are so easy to make too!!
